Navratri Puja in Delhi is one of the most eagerly awaited festivals of the year, where nine nights are dedicated to worshipping the nine divine forms of Goddess Durga, from Shailputri to Siddhidatri.
Across the capital, homes are cleaned and decorated, Garba and Dandiya nights light up community halls, and devotees observe fasts and daily aarti to seek the goddess’s blessings for strength, prosperity, and the removal of negativity from their lives.
Delhi, being home to a diverse mix of Punjabis, Marwaris, Gujaratis, Bengalis, and people from across India, celebrates Navratri in many beautiful ways, but the core need remains the same: an authentic Vedic Pandit who can perform Ghatsthapana and the nine days of rituals correctly.

The traditional foundation rituals are what breathe throughout the nine days with the essence of invoking and welcoming Goddess Durga.
Sow grain seeds in layered soil in an earthen pot. Prepare a kalash with holy water, durva, akshat, coins, topped with a coconut wrapped in red cloth.
Pray to Devi Durga, inviting her divine presence to reside in the kalash for nine days.
Infuse life force into the kalash or idol with mantra chanting and purification. Also ensure to concentrate deeply towards the divine during this ritual.
Daily Panchopachara puja (Gandha, flowers, incense, lamp, and naivedya) with Durga Saptashati or Navadurga mantras for each form.
Observe fasting for the divine nine days and ensure to light the akhand jyoti. Additionally, offer prayer with focus and clarity twice a day.
Worship nine girls (2-10 years) and one boy as Bhairava on Ashtami/Navam according to individual beliefs. Wash their feet, offer akshat, serve kanyabhoj (halwa, poori, kala chana), gift and seek blessings.
On the day of Vijayadashami, bid farewell by distributing sprouted grains and immerse the coconut/idol, marking the Goddess’s departure with gratitude.
Every Pandit on our platform is background-checked and tested for scriptural knowledge, and we specifically match you with Pandits experienced in performing the nine-day Navratri vidhi, not a generalist priest.
