Long ago, a cruel demon king named Hiranyakashipu ruled this land. He hated Lord Vishnu and ordered everyone to worship only him.
But his young son, Prahlada, refused. The boy loved Lord Vishnu deeply. The angry father tried to kill his own son many times, but the boy survived every time due to his pure faith.
One day, Hiranyakashipu pointed at a stone pillar. He asked if Vishnu lived inside it. He struck the pillar with his heavy sword.
Suddenly, a terrifying roar shook the earth. The pillar shattered into pieces, and Lord Narasimha burst out. He had a human body with the fierce head of a lion.
