Step 1: Start with morning cleansing and wake up early before sunrise. Take a bath using a few drops of Ganga or Narmada water. Clean the puja altar and decor with flowers.
Step 2: Make the arrangements and set up the puja altar with the following items:
Keep the Narmada stones if you have (shivlinga from the river) in the puja.
Step 3: Take sankalp sit before the deity and take a vow ‘I honour the goddess for the purity, protection, and well-being of my family, and spiritual upliftment’.
Step 4: Start worshipping and light the diya or incense. Offer the arranged sacred items to the Goddess’s idol. Perform aarti with devotion.
Step 5: If you are near the Narmada, take a holy bath in the river.
