Ekadashi Vrat Udyapan is the final performed Vedic ritual after one has consistently observed the Ekadashi fast for a particular period – often one year, three years, or after observing 26 Ekadashis.
As per the ancient Puranas, just stopping the fast with no formal Udyapan leaves the spiritual punya unachieved. The ritual consists of seeking Lord Vishnu and Goddess Lakshmi to appreciate the devotee’s discipline.
